Terms of Service

Upon payment, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Tirith's paid features for the number of seats purchased, subject to these Terms.

The open-source version of Tirith is separately licensed under AGPL-3.0-only. These Terms apply only to the commercial license and paid feature access.

License keys are issued per purchase and are tied to your account. You are responsible for keeping your license key confidential. Sharing license keys beyond your purchased seat count is a violation of these Terms.

• Payments are processed by our designated third-party payment provider.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Prices are in USD. Local taxes may apply and are handled by our payment provider.
• Refunds follow our refund policy (see Section 4).

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the original purchase date, no questions asked. To request a refund, contact us at [email protected].

You may cancel your subscription at any time. After cancellation, your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

You agree not to:

• Share, redistribute, or resell license keys
• Circumvent license enforcement mechanisms in violation of the AGPL-3.0-only license
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Reverse-engineer the license key signing mechanism for the purpose of generating unauthorized keys

• Tirith is a local-first tool. Core detection runs entirely on your machine and does not depend on our servers.
• Paid features that require server communication (remote policy, audit upload, license refresh) depend on server availability. We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee it.
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with 30 days notice.

• The Tirith source code is licensed under AGPL-3.0-only.
• The commercial license grants additional permissions beyond AGPL (e.g., use without source disclosure obligations).
• Trademarks, logos, and branding remain our property.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard.
• We may terminate your license for violation of these Terms with 14 days written notice.
• Upon termination, your license key will be revoked and paid features will revert to Community tier.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to the address associated with your purchase. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
